Elaine Wants A Home

Elaine is a super sweet 50 lb white and lemon hound. She is just LOVES people! Elaine was picked up as a stray in rural VA and brought to the shelter. She made herself a favorite right away - Elaine is the kind of girl who will climb into your heart as easily as she will climb into your lap.

She is between 1-2 years old and full of play but not super high energy. We haven't been able to find a foster home for Elaine - thanks to a generous donor, she's been able to spend her days at a cageless boarding facility where she gets to run around with the other dogs during the day. But the money for the boarding is almost gone and this is not the ideal place for Elaine. We would love to get Elaine in a foster home or better yet, find her an adopter.

Elaine has heartworm. We have reason to believe that Elaine hasn't have heartworm for long and so it is not at all advanced. But it is important for her to start her heartworm treatment soon and she needs to be living in a home before it can start.

Please spread the word about Elaine. Please consider making a donation to Homeward Trails in her name to help cover her boarding and to help pay for her heartworm treatment. THANK YOU!
